iOS 18: Release date, features, and supported devices

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is typically held in early June, so we can expect to see iOS 18 announced at WWDC 2024. A developer beta for iOS 18 would be available at WWDC, followed by a public beta a few weeks later.

New features

It’s too early to say for sure what new features iOS 18 will include, but there are a few things that we can speculate on.

  • Improved performance and battery life. Apple is always looking for ways to improve the performance and battery life of its devices, so we can expect to see some improvements in iOS 18.
  • New features for the iPhone 14. Apple typically includes new features in iOS that are specific to the new iPhone model. So, we can expect to see some features in iOS 18 that are specific to the iPhone 14.
  • New features for developers. Apple always includes new features for developers in iOS. This helps them to create more innovative and engaging apps.

We’ll have to wait for WWDC 2024 to learn more about the specific new features that will be included in iOS 18.
