Realme 12 Pro: A Decent 5G Phone Under Rs 30,000, Price, Review & Specifications

The Realme 12 Pro is a mid-range 5G phone that was launched in India in January 2024. It starts at Rs 25,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and goes up to Rs 33,999 for the top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

Specifications

  • Display: 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 2160Hz PWM Dimming
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC
  • RAM: 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB
  • Storage: 128GB or 256GB
  • Rear Camera: 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS, 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, 8MP ultra-wide sensor
  • Front Camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh with 67W fast charging
  • OS: Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14

Design and Display

The Realme 12 Pro has a sleek and premium design with a curved AMOLED display. The display is bright and sharp, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes it smooth and responsive. The phone also has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

Performance

The Realme 12 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is a mid-range processor. The phone is able to handle everyday tasks with ease, but it may struggle with more demanding games and applications.

Camera

The Realme 12 Pro has a triple-lens rear camera system that consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 32MP telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The camera system takes good photos in daylight, but the quality can drop in low-light conditions. The front-facing camera is 16MP and takes decent selfies.

Battery Life

The Realme 12 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The battery life is excellent, and the phone can easily last a full day on a single charge.

Software

The Realme 12 Pro runs on Realme UI 5.0, which is based on Android 14. Realme UI is a clean and user-friendly skin that is easy to navigate.

Verdict

The Realme 12 Pro is a decent 5G phone that offers good value for money. It has a nice design, a good display, and a long battery life. However, the camera performance is not the best, and the processor may struggle with demanding tasks. If you are looking for a good all-around 5G phone under Rs 30,000, the Realme 12 Pro is a good option.

Pros

  • Sleek and premium design
  • Bright and sharp 120Hz AMOLED display
  • IP65 rating for dust and water resistance
  • Good battery life with 67W fast charging
  • Clean and user-friendly software

Cons

  • Average camera performance
  • Processor may struggle with demanding tasks
